The question that I am constantly asked when it comes to makeup is: “What can I do to prep my skin before my wedding day?”
There are so many schools of thought when it comes to caring for your skin, and sometimes it can really get a little bit complicated. In my opinion, great skin requires a lot of love and devotion and therefore it is best to get into a proper skin care routine. Your face is probably your most prized possession.
A basic skincare regime is pivotal for a good-looking skin. There is absolutely no reason to spend a fortune on the most expensive products in order to achieve results. To me, it is about creating a realistic routine and sticking to it NO MATTER WHAT! Yes, ladies, this means even when you don’t feel like it!
In order to prep your skin before your wedding day, a basic routine should consist of cleansing, toning and moisturising morning AND night. Try to add in some sort of mild exfoliation once a week and you will get your desired results.
Remember that you need to be getting enough sleep and make sure that you invest in a good eye cream to keep the dark circles away. A water-soluble eye make-up remover lessens scrubbing around your sensitive eye area.
Drink plenty of water!!!!
Exfoliate your lips once a week for 3 weeks before your wedding day. Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream is MAGIC for dry flaky lips.
Don’t forget to include your neck and décolleté’ in your skin care regime – consider them an extended version of your face!
Last, but not least…
If you get a pimple on or before your wedding day… My best-kept secret is tea tree oil – Now its out ☺
