Date Night Makeup

Whether you’re married or even if you’re just dating, date night not only gives you a little romance to look forward to it’s also the perfect excuse to let go of your every day look and go for that little extra bit of gorgeousness!

My top tips for doing your makeup on a date night :

Lip Stains
A romantic dinner is most likely to be ruined with lipstick on your teeth or lipstick on your partner and most girls do need a little lip color to bring some pizazz to their beauty look. Next date don’t use your usual lipstick, rather opt for a stain. My favourite lip stains are Posie Tint and Bene tint from the Benefit cosmetics.

Glowy Skin
Bronzing Powder adds warmth to your skin and is the perfect product to give you a natural glow without looking like you’ve dipped yourself in self tan. Apply it to the apples of the cheeks and along the forehead line,  giving your skin a warm glow and making it look healthy. I love Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder and Smashbox Bronze lights.

Copper Eyes
You don’t need to always use dark browns and blacks for a beautiful smokey eye. Layering shades of gold and copper can be just as effective and dramatic. Line your eyes with a dark brown or black liner, then layer and smudge with a golden/copper shadow. For this look, I recommend MAC Copper Sparkle pigment.

Highlight Your Assets
A beautiful highlighter is always a requirement for date night! Liquid highlighters especially, give skin a healthy, soft glow. Add your highlighter above your cheekbones, to the corners of your eyes, or use add glow to you collar bones or along the shins of your legs. Never overdo the highlighter though, you want to have a soft shimmer, NOT look like a Glitter Princess. Try Benefit’s High Beam Highlighter for the perfect shimmer every time!
